I’m back! And I’m keeping it nice and easy, light and breezy with 15 photos to inspire you to visit Iceland ASAP.
Before our trip I read a ton of blogs about Iceland and almost every single one of them said that you would be wanting to stop the car every few km on the ring road to take photos of the scenery…they weren’t lying. Eventually, it got to the point that I was just telling Riaan to slow down so I could hang out the car window and take photos. It is definitely not the best way to get your photo composition and focus right, but it makes for good memories nonetheless.
Arctic Henge with a little green glow of Aurora Stranded Whaling ship in the Westfjords
The most beautiful aurora – about an hour and a half North of Reyjavik
Thingvellir National Park
Dramatic misty morning landscape, mountains to the left and glaciers to the right
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and the mystical rock stacks you find dotted around the country
Diamond beach with moody skies
Somewhere along the ring road on the North(east) of the island
Another beautiful scenery stop somewhere along the ring road
If you’ve been following me on Insta you will have seen a few of my favourite snaps already. I haven’t included those here so go check them out for even more Iceland inspo.
Hope you enjoyed our photos!
Until next time,
